"If your media sources portrayed that differently, consider how much they’re failing to provide the full picture elsewhere"
An absolute bar. This is also part of why so many people were caught off guard by last week's results. It is directly related to the tendency to unfollow / block people who express viewpoints that even slightly disagree with your own.
Even if they are supposedly promoting strength in women, it's a weird kind of strength that is totally unrelatable. Choosing to go on Call Her Daddy was weird. That's a podcast that takes a "cheat or be cheated on" approach to relationships. Not a great message to send.
Plus who are the strong women on the left and do their lives look desirable? I can't think of too many more than I can think of on the right.
Anytime someone has insight into the manosphere, I’m in. It just leaves me with questions: should the presidency run through Joe Rogan? I think there is a power struggle there and I think Kamala chose a certain direction.
So, how should women pander/coddle these men that aren’t doing well? Do they have to be both a receiver of their angst and the solution? It sounds like I’m trolling but I’m genuinely interested.
Should it run through 60 Minutes? I dunno. I think this is the question: Do you want these guy's votes or not? If yes, you gotta reach out to 'em, feel their pain, and understand their desires. It's the same as any other cohort. I fear the left enjoys dunking on them too much to actually persuade them.
Fair counterpoint/consideration re: 60 minutes. Not ready to anoint JRE as a king maker. I’m interested in hearing potential solutions, I have heard a lot of problem definitions. I’ve heard listening and not dunking, ok, those are passive type of action… are there more active ones?
Hit the nail on the head again, man. Good stuff.
"Do you want to win next time or nah?"
Yea I would love to... But I think I prefer feeling self-righteous and believing every other human being is an idiot. (shrug) That's my comfort zone.
Congratulations. You've perfectly encapsulated the view of the Democratic party. 😜

Yup, the bubble is real/strong.

I gave a few in the piece. Richard Reeves is speaking a lot to this and worth checking out if you're not familiar. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/nov/08/young-men-donald-trump-kamala-harris
I asked, you answered, thank you.
