I meant to acknowledge you specifically for reminding us of the social contract, a body of unwritten rules or guidelines for sharing place and time with others out of the necessity to survive, even if unlike ourselves and with differing priorities, It's not possible to enact enough laws to bring about such shared sanity and security. One of the many things that should be taught along with high school civics -- also not being taught.

Great stuff throughout. Your opening riff reminded me of a scene in the first episode of Fisk, an Australian comedy on Netflix, created, directed and starring Kitty Flanagan. It's a story of a pretty-much sane woman learning to navigate small ordinary settings in which the lazy, vain, deceitful, outrageous, self-absorbed and naive, seem to move about with ease. None of the characters are drawn to be easy marks in a gotcha barrel (boring!), and the funny moments have been properly set up so that they are ingeniously surprising and believable all at once. I'M LOVIN' IT. Six half hour episodes, with a probable second season.
